SPRING 2016, 3/31/2016

“Dear tausche, I just bought another ‘Nomadin’ a few years after I wore and loved the first one, which is enclosed. It feels so close to me like my buddy who actually went through 3.11 with me that I cannot just dump her. It would be great if you could recycle her. Thank you, Kumano”

– It’s been over a year since we first had a contact from Ms. Kumano from Fukushima Prefecture by phone. She said that she would like to send us her bag for recycle while wishing to purchase a new bag with two flaps. “Recycling a tausche bag would make sense, only if you want to replace just a bag body, or otherwise it would cost you a shipping fee and take you time.” What a shame to have a poor imagination and make a quick response to her. It wasn’t long until we understood her motivation and became so honored to receive such a request from our customer.

– Another regular customer told us that his tausche bag attracted the artist Nara Yoshitomo and he volunteerly gave him his autograph on the flap “ATOMKRAFT? NEIN DANKE” at an anti-nuclear protest that he joined.

“ATOMKRAFT? – We also have another regular customer who had joined the movement long before 3.11.

– The 8th Anniversary of tausche in Japan this month. We are extremely fortunate and proud to have great customers, who take a good care of their belongings, who are sensitive about what is going on in our society and eager to take action, and who are caring for friends and family. They are so honest, humble and healthy-minded. A big thank you to Heiko&Antje, in the photo with the bag from Ms. Kumano, founders and designers of tausche who have been producing reliable creations. Last but not least, had it not been for the support of all the people we have worked with in Germany and Japan, we would not have made it today, so thank you very much to each one of you!

– We meet so many wonderful people through tausche and every story they have shared with us is encouraging and inspiring. None of our life seems perfect, and many of us still smile and keep on trying while learning frustration, disappointment, and solitude. Now we would like to remind you all that we are a team of beautiful spirits, so let’s stay strong! Have an amazing start of a brand new year! (*April is the beginning of the fiscal year in Japan.)

“..Here in Germany many different cultures exist and people believe in many different things. Life is unsearchable, so I think reincarnation is a nice perception. We hope that the bag is doing good things to someone else in its different shape. We are also wishing the customer that the new Nomadin is also taking care of her like the one before it did.”

A message from tausche Berlin for Ms. Kumano.
